Create your own spells and wipe out monsters by the thousands.
Coming soon to SteamPC, in development
Every run is one night. You start it with one sad little spell. You end it with something nobody planned, including us.
11:00 PM, night falls
Hold the night.
After dark the forest comes for you: spiders, beetles, glowing mushrooms, husks, more of them every night.
Then something huge crawls out of the ground to see what all the noise is about.
You don't aim. You move, you dodge, and your spell does the shooting.
Level up
You don't aim the magic. You write it.
Every level-up stops the fight and hands you a glyph: a piece of magic you snap into the spell you're already casting. Try it. Pick an element, a form and a twist.
Frost + Spear + Orbiting
Orbiting Frost Spears
A frozen crown. The spears circle you and throw themselves at anything that gets close, and whatever they hit slows to a crawl, which makes the next spear much easier.
Every run deals different glyphs. Some combos are broken.
6:00 AM, dawn
Go home. Come back stronger.
Survive until first light and the shop opens. Cram rings, robes and boots into your bag, and fuse two of the same into something stronger.
Then carry what you earned home to your ruined floating island, rebuild it, and open the Glyph Book: a skill tree where the spell forms you've found keep getting stronger, run after run.
The more nights you survive, the stranger your spells get.

Behind the scenes
How we fight lag with hundreds of monsters on screen
Hexwright throws hundreds of monsters and bolts at the screen at once. We wrote down what we learned, with real numbers from our logs, as a free Godot 4 guide. Every technique in it is plain GDScript.
